An incident occurred at Tesla’s Giga Texas factory near Austin, where an assembly robot reportedly malfunctioned and attacked a Tesla engineer. As reported in the Daily Mail, an injury report recounted a terrifying incident where two employees witnessed their colleague being attacked by a robot. The robot that attacked was specifically engineered to efficiently and precisely handle newly formed aluminum car components.
According to reports, the man was pinned by the robot while he was programming software for two disabled Tesla robots in the vicinity. With a merciless grip, it mercilessly pierced the worker’s back and arm, leaving a gruesome mark of crimson on the factory floor. According to reports, the victim sustained a significant injury to his left hand. The attack took place in 2021 and was disclosed in an injury report submitted to both Travis County and federal regulators. According to DailyMail.com, they have reviewed the report.
According to the report, the Tesla engineer who was bleeding tried to break free from the assembly robot’s grip, but a coworker quickly pressed the emergency ‘stop’ button. After gaining freedom, the engineer unexpectedly tumbled down a chute specifically created to gather scrap aluminium.
By the way, Tesla did not report any other injuries related to robots to regulators at the Texas factory in either 2021 or 2022. This incident occurs in the midst of ongoing concerns surrounding the potential dangers of automated robots in work environments
